The Reluctant Dragon

Trainee knights have to save a princess from a fierce, fire-breathing dragon before they can become a fully-fledged knight.
Often a dragon may be killed in this encounter which is most unfortunate. The dragon family in this story are possibly the last remaining dragons alive. They understandably are not so keen on taking part so they plot together as a family to come up with ways to avoid having to battle knights.
Mrs Dragon's baking is also a feature of the story. The knights who are not overly keen to face Father Dragon and his sharp slashing claws would much rather sit down to a lovely sponge cake and a cup of tea.
.Eventually, Father Dragon must fight the trainee knights or face the wrath of King Thaddeus the Great's army.
All ends well when the smoke from Father Dragon's breath confuses the knights and everyone is grateful to return
home safely.
