To read a book by dear friends is a treat. From their meeting in anatomy class at Texas A & M's Pharmacy School, where they shared a box containing their two male rabbits (they thought), through their 30+ years of married bliss, you see a heart-warming tale of two opposites and evidence that, indeed, love can conquer all.

Laughed out loud

The Redneck and the High Maintenance Woman is a delightfully funny collection of stories Doyle High tells about his marriage to Roberta as he dispenses advice about getting along with one. Roberta adds comments at the end of his tales, getting in the last word, as is fitting for a high maintenance woman. As many times as I've read the stories I still laugh out loud, and find myself repeating them often. And there's an added benefit: before this book, I had never heard the expression high maintenance woman -- now I know how to be one!
