this book was written to teach my children moral values in a way that is not dictatory but entertaining and thought provoking. i wanted children to learn about patience and understanding that just because something terrible happens, it doesn't mean the end of the world the red planet solar system is a series of short stories, where each planet has a different problem to over come and the only solution comes from a natural disaster (sometimes caused by the inhabitants actions). each title tackles a different problem encountered by society today: social cohesion, healthy living, cleanliness, bullying even the environment and so many more lessons. finally the inhabitants learn to appreciate each other and how to get along and recognise their own self worth. the red planet teaches colours and two emotions.
