Robert A. Hastings is an author and a painter.?He refers to himself as a current horseless country boy/lost sailor who is?living?in rural Southern California.?His influence comes from growing up in Rural Pennsylvania.?He was a career Navy man, a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman who has experienced the best and worst of mankind and has tried to inject some of those experiences into his work. Robert is a newly published children's author, ?The Blue Kangaroo? (It?s Nice to be Different) and ?The Spirit Wolf? (Life is a Never Ending Lesson), which he also illustrated. ?The Mysterious Door? was written by his twelve-year-old grandson and Robert created the illustrations.?Robert is passionate about his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, our country and life! He writes and paints because it gives him peace, and it?provides another avenue for?artistic expression. He hopes to share both with as many people as possible.
