Solid Sequel! Looking forward to Book 3!

*4.5 stars, rounded up I really enjoyed this! It's larger than my usual read (almost big enough to be used as a doorstop) and there are more POVs than I'm used to (probably close to ten), but it's so well done that I hardly noticed. I'm not a big fan of battles and bloodshed, but this story didn't focus on that (just like it didn't in the first one). It focused on family, sacrifice, friendship, and more. Masha and Duren are still two of my favorite characters. Some of the loyalties for certain characters were revealed here, but I'm still curious about a few others. And I love all the horses! Also, I really liked the music-magic in this story :)
