one of my all-time favorites

everyone who loves a good story, the south and has ever been in the process of recovering from a broken heart, should read this book. Actually, i think everyone should read this book. i first read it in 1990 while on vacation with my parents in puerto rico. It was a spectacular beach read. I love the title, the author's name, the opening paragraph and the whole shebang. It's a fabulously easy read, and i regret that so few people have read this book and that i could never find another book by this author. Find it, read it, you'll love it!

My God!

Lots of book jackets have the words "Rollicking tale" written all over them...this book really is a rollicking tale. It's my favorite book ever, and I can't keep a copy of it because people always refuse to return it. Read it, read it, read it!
