Rabbit games were lost, and he could never win.
Not doing what a bunny does, in his habitat,
made his body double-up by gaining rabbit fat.
Sweets replaced the carrots, while dreaming made his day.
Hare knew within his heart . . . he could not live that way.

"Hare," they said, "we're fond of you." He said, to them, the same.
"Would you like to be a prince and change the way you are?
Your honesty and wisdom will take our kingdom far."
"Of course, I would ," the rabbit said, and bowed before the pair.
"Great " They said, "now we need a princess for you, Hare."
