When the body of a young man is found brutally murdered and left on display in a public park newly promoted Detective Inspector Lou Dixon finds herself hoping it is an isolated case and the killer will be caught and brought to justice swiftly.

As the weeks go and two more bodies are found in similar circumstances Lou and her team struggle to get the case off the ground. With no positive leads emerging the Detective's confidence in catching the killer starts to slip until at last a breakthrough comes Lou's way and an arrest is made but then out of the blue a shock revelation followed by a gruesome discovery throws the case in a completely unexpected direction for Lou and her team bringing it closer to home than they could have ever imagined.
