The Question is Tolstoy's Beard

This is the truth. In Waxahachie, Texas one night at an open mike in the back alley entrance to a health food store, I joined in with a friend to do some poetry to improvised music. The same night, I introduced an experiment in poetry I called "The Question is Tolstoy's Beard". At the time there were three or four pieces. The response was overwhelming.The number of poems on the theme expanded to thirty or more poems. Each time I joined with that same group of musicians in improve and poetry we called ourselves "Tolstoy's Beard".In response to a fellow poet who pushed me to keep the energy going and keep the challenge to poetic form and content alive, I produced this chap book.Please enjoy -
