Excellent story in a creative world with engaging characters

I've fallen completely inlove with this series!!! The characters have so much depth, and the world they are living in is fascinating; with parallels to our own world, intricate cultures, heated divisions, bonded friendship with animals, spectacular descriptions, and delightful characters. And of course, as I'm sure the author intended, a reader might be hard pressed not to fall madly in love with at least one of the main characters. The story moves at a good pace, giving attention to detail where needed, and speeding through places where it is not. Truly an enjoyable read, and I have purchased the entire series.
