After being trolled online for years, I have decided to reflect on the 'psychological makeup' of trolls to help me understand their behaviours and try to make sense of why they tried to bully me out of my life. Some things are difficult to make sense of, but very rarely are they impossible. The internet can be used by trolls to cause harm, but it can also be used by positive people, to do research, learn, reflect and improve outcomes. So that is what this book is, it is me turning a negative experience into a learning opportunity for everyone.
Anyone who has been trolled can use my book to understand the mentality of trolls and my aim is that by the end of this book, people will understand how irrelevant trolls are and how they aren't worth losing any sleep over. I also hope that professionals can use my research to understand trolls and how they operate to spread misinformation and cause harm to their victims. This book should raise the 'veil' on the anonymity and methods adopted by trolls, to make it easier for everyone to understand the gravity and impact they can have on people's basic human rights.
