First, there were men and movements in several countries adcocating and promoting Reformation at about the same time.Jacques LeFavre is considered the Father of the French Reformation movement. He taught future Refomation leaders and proceeded Luther by about ten years. Ulrich Zwingle was also attacking Roman Catholic superstitions and practices in Switzerland prior to Luther's posting of his famous 95 theses. Reformation teaching was not merely an import from Germany, though Luther's actions and writings gained more widespread attention and galvanized Reformation thinking and reformers throughout Europe.
