Torrance never dreamed that his life was going to take a detour from his idea of normal. As a strong young man who was trained as a knight from his youth, he only saw himself as a servant of the King. A chance meeting would soon bring that way of thinking to a halt, revealing to him that he will play a very important role in the kingdom. Despite this, he was held back in his confidence by the overarching shadow of his past. He only needed to believe in himself and his ability to carry out the quest that was in front of him. He soon had the helping guidance he needed to find his strength and confidence that he almost doubted he had. He never knew his father, and his mother left him in the care of the king. Although the king treated him well, he felt he was missing something that he could not put his finger on. He did not expect what was to come. His life was about to change for the better, but first, he would have to face the challenges that were foretold to him. As the day's events were coming to a head, with know way of knowing what was to come, he prepared himself to be the knight he was trained to be.
