In the felony courts of Hardin County, the judges delay trials so they can attend conferences to discuss court congestion. The prosecutor has a nice life of hiring women based upon their looks rather than job skills. He prefers to give press conferences to brag about how he keeps the public safe rather than appear in court. When he goes to trial against a defense attorney who prefers to gather evidence rather than talk to reporters, his life begins to unravel. Especially when his current mistress tells his wife about their affair, his life begins to seriously spiral downward. Watching the mighty fall from grace can be sad, but it can be fun too.
