This book is written for those who long to be part of Jesus' command to be perfect (Matthew 5:48). We all know we are not there yet and many of us don't expect to be perfect here on the earth. But that is not His expectation. Jesus prayed, "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:21) Since the reason for our perfection - oneness with Him - is that the world sees us and believes in Him, His intention is that it happen here on earth, not later in heaven.
