In a world where altering the minds of the American people has become the new normal, nothing is out of bounds. Strings of murders occur on a daily basis, thieves break into shops and homes, bar brawls become emergency room visits, and small disagreements end in gunfire. No one is safe from the overwhelming turning of the tide. A dangerous man, Donovan is a former drug-addict and the leader of a well-known trafficking operation. It was Mya who theorized that Donovan was funding his part of the race with illegal cash. She obtained proof and later arrested him. After losing her key witness to bribery, Donovan went free. Mya was fired shortly thereafter. Mya receives a phone call from the Director of the FBI himself, Nicholas Potter. Potter informs her that a high alert emergency has broken out. Once there, she is told that the prime suspect in the case is none other than Ryan Donovan, the same man who caused her dismissal from the bureau in the first place. Then enters Mitch Stevens, Mya's new partner. He is a middle-aged man with a large amount of experience in "top secret" cases. Mya very soon discovers that not all cases are black and white. With the clock ticking down to the destruction of the country, Mitch and Mya must find Donovan in a time span of five days, or die trying. Between her bitter husband, frustrating partner, screaming children, and harsh boss, Mya is getting desperate. Will they be able to stop Donovan before it's too late? Or will she, once again, fall short of outsmarting this criminal mastermind?
