The book addresses and reflects on the issue of inclusive schooling, which can be conceptualised as a process of educating together and unconditionally, in ordinary school classes, so-called normal pupils with pupils who have special educational needs. Based on an initial experience of the process of including two students in a municipal school, this book recalls the history of Special Education in Brazil, discusses concepts such as exclusion, integration and inclusion, trying to differentiate between them because they are often confused, and conceptualises the inclusive school, identifying difficulties and obstacles. The book ends with the presentation of an intervention proposal for the implementation of a municipal project, thus contributing to the opening up of new values in our society.
