The Princess of the Lake

The Princess of the Lake was written by Annabelle (age 7) and her grammy, Camela, during the 2020-2021 COVID-19 pandemic. Annabelle is an aspiring author and her grammy sought out a way to connect with her even though they live almost a thousand miles apart.. They added chapters back and forth over Google Docs and FaceTimed regularly, over the course of six months, to talk about the story of Princess Annaela (created from a combination of both their names). They discussed what should come next in her adventures with the other characters. One of my favorites parts of the book is that Annabelle and Camela were so creative with their character names. All the characters are a name blend of the people they love the most, family.
