Rules of Engagement is the ninth installment in this gloriously unhinged saga. After surviving trials, tribulations, magical spells, mishaps, near-fatal incidents, some deliberate, and a dramatic scene with poultry, Princess Tundra and Olaf the Plumber are finally engaged...believe it or not, to each other. (The kingdom had money riding on whether this would ever happen.)
Tundra, determined to know everything about the being she intends to marry, insists on meeting Olaf's siblings-whom he has kept in the background ever since she met him.
During a visit to the estate Olaf provided for them, Tundra discovers the brothers and sister are as eccentric as he described. From the goats standing on top of the roof to the pigs sleeping in their beds, that was only the beginning of their idiosyncrasies. They were every bit as unkempt and unruly as she was told to expect, with manners ranging from indifferent to nonexistent.
On the carriage ride back home, Tundra makes Olaf promise he will never allow his siblings to live in the same house with them. She goes on to put her foot down and demands Olaf stop letting them take advantage of him if he wants there to be a wedding.
What follows is a tale of love, loyalty, questionable family dynamics, and the rules of engagement that must be enforced if everyone is to live 'happily ever after.'
Olaf's greatest weakness has been his siblings, whom he has been a father and mother to since they lost their parents when they were very young. Will the Princess and the Plumber make it to the altar? Read to see if love is greater than an out-of-control family.
