The Prince of Eejits is a humorous memoir of a boy growing up Catholic in 1970's Florida and his very funny relationship with a hard drinking, pill popping Irish priest, Father Bueller. The central character Kevin, moves with his family from Chicago to Florida and survives sadistic nuns in catholic school, hangs out with the hippie culture of the early Seventies on Clearwater Beach, and ends up abandoned in Dublin as a result of a drug deal with Father Bueller. Before political correctness made us question everything we do and why, Kevin lives a truly free boyhood where fighting, fascination with weapons, building forts and showing a healthy appreciation for the opposite sex was considered normal and encouraged and not something that would require medication and counseling. In short, a funny, touching story of what it was like to grow up being allowed to be a boy and learn life's lessons by living them.
