Positive Book

I was admitted to the hospital and prepared for the birth of my little girl at 28 weeks, at that time I ordered quite a few books on premature babies. The baby waited another 5 and 1/2 weeks to arrive, but since the doctors kept me in the hospital on my side, I got plenty of time to read ALL of the books. I found this book to be the most postive and reassuring. I was scared out of my mind, and many of the other books only gave worst case scenarios, whereas this book always gave the best possible outlook and postive ways to deal with things. My baby is now 16 months old (14 months corrected age) and doing fine :-)and I am a BIG believer in Dr. Sears.

Another must have for all parents of preemies

In addition to the Linden preemie book I tagged, this one is also a must have....Having a preemie, especially unexpected, is a traumatic experience. On top of all the usual postpartum issues, you are faced with daily hospital visits, and coming home to an empty nursery. The nurses are short tempered, the doctors are too busy, and none of your friends can relate. This book is an absolute godsend.

Highly recommended

After reading many reviews, I finally ordered 3 books about premature babies. This book was definetly the BEST. I read through it daily and it answered many questions. I especially recommend it if your baby had no problems and was only in the incubator to grow up.

Invaluable resource for NICU parents

This book contained the answers to questions I had while my baby was in the NICU. As a second-time parent, I was especially concerned with attachment issues with my baby that might arise from being hospitalized. This book, written by the attachment-parent gurus helped to alieviate some of my fears as well as give tips for encouraging attachment.
