The Precious Wentletrap is a historical romance novel that centers on Maggie Taylor, an army nurse who was stationed with her best friend Kate, at the 71st Evacuation Hospital located deep in enemy territory on the Cambodian border at the height of the Vietnam War. Maggie experiences the love of a lifetime with a dustoff pilot but returns to the States without her best friend or her soulmate. She marries a Vietnam protester and successfully hides from her past- until her life unravels around her. The Precious Wentletrap is a story of healing which will help anyone who has experienced tremendous loss in their lives, especially those recovering from Post-traumatic stress disorder. During these times where we are all experiencing the global pandemic of Covid 19, I think the reader will be able to relate to Maggie's counselor, Dr. Lydia Rothschild's insightful words, "Life is a precious gift."
