The Praying People: Prayer as Creaturely Petition and Spirt-Empowered Communion

By: Thompson, Howard

Why does prayer sometimes feel unclear, ineffective, or inconsistent?

The Praying People addresses the real struggles believers encounter in prayer and brings practical clarity rooted in Scripture. Building upon the theological foundation of Prayer as a Human Act, this second volume turns toward the pastoral and practical questions that arise as believers seek to develop a faithful life of prayer.

Readers will explore:

- How sin, righteousness, and repentance affect prayer

- How biblical confidence in prayer develops

- What can hinder prayer-and why

- How to grow in stable, faithful prayer over time

Rather than offering another prayer technique, formula, or program, The Praying People examines prayer as part of an ongoing relationship with God and applies biblical principles to the challenges believers encounter in their prayer lives.
