The power of love: True love gives and serves

If you want to make sure of keeping your heart intact, you must surrender your heart to no one, not even to an animal. The wrap I gently round with hobbies and minor delights. Avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, unmoving, airless it will transform. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. Recently, I have grown so in love with my spiritual path and growth that I have not felt the need for a spouse. Perhaps it is a good thing as I would never want to love out of "need" anyway. I have become so holy to myself that there simply has not been a place or desire for anyone else. I love the manner that I love: fearlessly. I intend to keep loving that way. It was for this reason that I resolved to go it alone: no romance, no dating, no pretend dating, no almost dating, no "sugar-free" confectionery. Just a sacred time with myself. I have invested no time in this. This could all change between the time I post this piece and its first reader. I trust myself to know. What is inarguably evident, is the next time, if there is one, will be nothing short of sacrosanct.
