The book includes all episodes in order of original date transmission, directorial credits, numerous photographs, complete cast listings, and a story synopsis for each episode. Patrick Wymark starred as Sir John Wilder, a role he had previously played in the series The Plane Makers (1963-65), which was the brainchild of Wilfred Greatorex.Sadly, only 29 of The Plane Makers' 58 episodes have survived.
