The power and politics of school education in DR Congo

At a time when the whole world is celebrating the triumphant entry into the 21st century with new strategies for school education, the DR Congo is still marking time. And yet, it should be marking this entry insofar as it is at a crossroads. One does not need to be a scholar to see that school education, if it still exists in the DR Congo, is in very bad shape. School education in the DR Congo, about which the whole of society speaks so much, dates from the colonial period. Its history is not really happy insofar as it has gone through several stages that have hardly tried to move in the same direction.
