The Potluck Club Takes the Cake

So fun to see the story of the Potluck Club continue. Many times later books in a series lose their punch but this book is as good as the first. These stories always make me hungry. Can't wait for the story to continue.

This third serving is a delicious hit for my book club

If you have a ladies book club and are looking for a fun series that will keep your friends coming back for seconds and thirds and fourths...the Potluck Club is it. From the first book which introduced us to six characters who were part of their own "prayer (gossip)" group, we learned that each lady of the club holds a secret that, if revealed, would forever change the flavor of life in Summit View. In the Potluck Club Take the Cake we really begin to see how the lives of the six women are coarsely blended because of their fallen natures. Although the books don't explicitely say it, it is easy to see the guiding hand of God as He mixes the ingredients from each character into the batter of life. My ladies book club was instantly taken by the tale weaved by Shepherd and Everson, perhaps because the women of Summit View are not that much different than some people we know (and perhaps not all that different than ourselves in some ways). With each book we have grown to love the six ladies of the Potluck- Evangeline Benson's brood who mixes faith and gossip, prayer and humanity to bake a storyline that rivals any daytime soap. There is just enough fun and frivolity to keep it light for the members of your group who are looking for a little escape, and just enough depth and spiritual take-away for those who like a "moral to their stories." The hardest part about choosing the Potluck Club series for our book club is waiting for the next book to come out.

Another winner!

Linda Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson do it again! They continue to draw you into the lives of the six women of The Potluck Club. Some loose ends are tied up from their previous adventures in "Potluck Club" and "Trouble's Brewing" and some new things are revealed about these women. This book digs deeper into their lives and reveals more about them. And, just like the previous two books, you are left wanting more. Can't wait for the next book to come out!

I'm moving to Summitt View

Things are as exciting as ever in Summitt View,CO where the ladies of the Potluck Club are concerned. The ladies and their friends and family are people I would really like to know. I would really enjoy being a member of the club and be in on the action. I have read all three of the books in the series and they are great. I think that anyone who enjoys a good story about "just folks" would love this book. It is so easy to feel a part of the story. Trust me, read the Potluck Club series and you, too, will want more stories about the ladies and their friends.

How I Love a Good Potluck

This third course of Potluck is good to the last bite. There's humor, fun and great secrets - revealed, plus heart-pounding danger and a fabulous wedding. Not only that, but Deputy Donna gets that long-awaited kiss. Though I won't tell you which guy she falls for, for finding out is half the fun. If you like the Mitford series, you'll love potluck - served in the wonderful Colorado mountain town of Summit View.
