On the outside, Elizabeth seems completely put together. And despite the fact that her beloved father just died and after going through one of the worst breakups in her life, she's determined not to show her weakness -- at least when she can stay sober. She moves in with her gracious relatives as she tries to pull herself together. With a newfound strength, she throws herself into her work as a journalist at KLNP, the local Portland news station. Her ambition is to one day become an investigative reporter, though that seems years away. However, things take an interesting turn when what appears to be a simple local story takes a dark twist. She suspects that there may be more to her father's death. She realizes this story is far from simple when she begins receiving death threats, a new for her. And more still, as she struggles to decipher these events, she's assigned a partner to work with him on this case; the new guy. Elizabeth isn't sure how she feels about him. Can she trust him? He seems different; distant. Yet he is the most attractive man she has ever laid eyes on. And she can't take them off, for better or for worse.
