Caldecott-Medal Quality

This is an enchanting book. I had heard how good the illustrations were, but I had to see them myself to know how truly wonderful they were. Dogs drive trucks and ride motorcycles; they wear fire hats and stocking caps and motorcycle helmets. There are so many wonderful, whimsical illustrations on each page that children will spend a great deal of time just looking at them. Adults will, too. I love this book. It is truly Caldecott-Medal quality.

A wonderful dreamy tale...

This book is beautifully illustrated, and a wonderful and whimsical tale which encourage little ones to dream big. My two girls love this book and ask me to read it over and over!

Delightful message - terrific illustrations!

Who doesn't love to dream? Children of all ages will delight in knowing that even dogs, like Bella, enjoy a good dream. Readers will see that even dogs can be passionate about recycling and good manners - terrific underlying messages for all children. And the illustrations are bright and colorful - full of little detail. Even a perfect "I Spy" book for the older reader as you hunt out dragonflies and other images hidden among the pictures. A perfect holiday gift for readers of all ages.

What a wonderful book! My kids love it so much. I have had the book for less than a week and have read it at least 14 times. That doesn't count the hours my kids have spent looking at Miss Laufer's beautiful illustrations. A great book for any age.

Visually Exiting

My little one really enjoyed both the candor of the setup, along with the great augmented photo montages with large machines, and interesting elements. A winner.
