Living in a small midwestern town certainly does not have the opportunities one would find in New York City. There is not the excitement and entertainment that would be enjoyed in Las Vegas, nor is there the glitz and glamour found in LA or maybe Beverly Hills. However, the Poll family found Maxwell the perfect place to reside.

Join the Polls throughout well over a year of ups and downs, good news and bad news, and unquestionably full of surprises. Meeting and getting to know Fairleigh Poll will surely be entertaining and amusing. Meeting her nine offspring, their myriads of spouses and children, adds diversity to this heartwarming family story. The joys, amusement, and satisfaction, as well as the problems, hard work and sometimes disappointment in planning a homecoming celebration may be keen and perhaps difficult, but these enthusiastic people always find it rewarding.

They were proud of their hometown. They were raised to be hardworking and self-sufficient. They could definitely be competitive, sometimes argumentative, and undoubtedly stubborn, but there was always love.

Some readers may even be inclined to search for and relocate to a small town like Maxwell. If you find yourself one of these, then I applaud you and wish you luck. Assuredly and without question it will never be boring.
