Nationalist and materialist ideologies such as Nazism, Fascism and Communism are quasi-religious political systems which supposedly end in the utopian society. In reality they lead to totalitarian leaders and governments. More difficult to refute are religious ideologies in which a higher power is said to be divine and the utopian society as the heaven on earth will be led by a supposed messiah-type Leader. This work attempts to differentiate between religion and ideology through a study of Zionism, its utopian promise and the events leading to its fulfillment.
