This book represents the joy, laughter, and connection we experience in our small poetry salon, called the Poetry Jam. Ellen Wilkin and Dave Wiley started this gathering with the encouragement of Vicki Londerville who owned a quirky coffee shop called Deja Brew in Longmont, Colorado. Since then, Ellen and Dave have held this jam at their house and at Que's Espresso, which is owned by Rob Quesenberry and now fills the same space as the former Deja Brew. Through all of these changes, the Poetry Jam has continued to draw the talent of local writers, actors, and musicians. Our philosophy as artists is: "Keep writing, performing, creating. Then share some of it with someone you trust on a regular basis." This collection reflects this philosophy.
