It seems that everyone has found one's passion in Stephen's world, except Stephen. After losing his job back home, he heads for New York City with everything to his name in a suitcase and backpack. Two of his closest friends, Jon and Matt, who seem to be living their dreams, offer him a place to stay until he gets on his feet. Thanks to Jon's connections, Stephen lands a job bartending at the hottest new restaurant in the East Village, Mellifluous. Now, he's living a life of fast money and madness. Stephen soon falls in love with the world of wine and his manager's sister Emily, who is unaware of his infatuation and already in a relationship. Slowly starting to find his footing, Stephen makes an unlikely friend, starts to gain Emily's interest and studies to become a Certified Sommelier. Finally finding a purpose in life, his world is turned upside down by misfortune and tragedy. Suddenly, nothing seems sure and Stephen must navigate even deeper emotional terrain.
