James Monahan is a 37 year old struggling telemarketer desperately searching for a way to make ends meet for his family when he finally gets the call that he has been anxiously waiting for: Sergeant Allen Melton with the Hawkins County Sheriff's Department has offered him employment with the Hawkins County Jail. As James scrambles to find out the identity of the Podfather who had ordered him to be killed, he soon realizes that it might have been better off for him to have just died the night that he had been held hostage, as both his professional and personal lives begin to quickly spiral out of control. The Podfather is now not only after James again, but also his entire family, and this time around not everyone will make it out alive in this powerful psychological thriller that tests the boundaries of one's ethics, morals, faith, and will to survive.
