Tony Terranova and Jerry Toscano have been lifelong friends for almost thirty years. Jerry saved Tony from drowning when they were kids in which Tony made a PLEDGE to him that he would never deny a favor to him for saving his life for as long as they lived. Jerry never had any need to ask a favor of Tony but upon finding out he is terminal and Tony finding out about his situation, he decides to call in a favor off The Pledge Tony made to him. Jerry's request not only entails Tony keeping his secret from his wife Kelci and their grown up children, but to also court Kelci and eventually marry her after he passes on.
