This book, written by a board memeber of The Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, is divided into 3 parts. Part 1 describes some of the physical workings of aphrodisiacs and several different types of aphrodisiacs,(occult, food, chemical and well-known). Part 2 is a history of aphrodisiacs and their use from the times of the ancient Greeks and Romans, through the Middle Ages, Dark Ages, and Reniassance, to the present day, along with a mention of aphrodisiacs in China and the Middle East. Part three is a discussion of avena sativa detailing studies and clinical trials performed by the institute and the positive results of these studies.
