The Plastic-Covered Couch: Growing Up in the Wild, Weird & Wonderful 80s

By Reid M Buch

The Plastic-Covered Couch is a nostalgic, funny poetry collection that dives headfirst into the chaos, quirks, and comforts of growing up in a big family during the 1980s.

From powdered drinks and sibling warfare to telenovelas, wrestling matches, and couches wrapped in eternal plastic, Reid Buch transforms everyday absurdities into punchy, heartfelt poems that will make you laugh, cringe, and maybe tear up a little.

Whether you were the middle child dodging chores or the youngest sneaking snacks during commercials, these poems will feel like home. Perfect for fans of retro humor, family chaos, and anyone who's ever survived a childhood with questionable furniture and unforgettable memories.

Funny. Relatable. Weirdly therapeutic. This is the 1980s as you remember it or tried to forget.
