The Pitfalls in Christian Marriages

This is a contemporary topic which requires the attention of Christians in view of the current happenings and occurrences around us. It is shocking and heartbreaking to find out that on a scale of 10 separations (or divorces) around us, 6 of them are between Christians. The rapidity with which Christian homes break up now are very alarming; and they need being looked into.
However, I think that the point from which we should take off as we sit down for a healthy discussion on the subject of marriage in Christianity is for every Christian to first and foremost determine or to decide the basis on which he or she wants his or her marriage to be seen, viewed or looked at. This then means that any Christian who wants to step into marriage must decide whether to marry and maintain or sustain the marriage in accordance with the standards of God or he or she will allow the marriage to be based loosely on the dictates of social norms or standards.
The clarification of this distinction is crucial for everyone before embarking on the voyage of marriage. This is because the standards of God is totally and or completely different from the social norms we throw around or hold dearly to heart; especially now that the world under the cape or influence of modernity views divine principles, morality, godliness and good conscience with a strong sense of rebellion and possibly disdain.
