A $100 million painting. A previously unknown Picasso is discovered in the attic of a French villa. Everyone wants to possess it. Filthy-rich Manhattan art people. Organized crime bosses. Power-hungry government officials. A notorious forger. A glamorous twenty-two-year-old art thief. Only one person knows how to take it. She's the rival none of the power players see coming.
Halston Graham is totally awesome! Every time I thought something had gone wrong from her plans, she ends up being two or three steps ahead and the plan is still valid! I loved how fast paced and twisty this was with great characters working with Halston or against her, and so many sides of the story that come together for a slap bang finish to a wild heist that started with a previously unknown Picasso work of art and snowballed into so much more. And this book has everything from mob bosses, high fashion designers, smugglers, the thrill of an auction, and of course Halston's grand plan to right an old wrong and get a little well deserved revenge on certain people. It was a very satisfying ending for a scheme a long time cooking and there was never a dull moment (which made it really hard to put down!).
This is an easy book to read in almost one sitting, so be warned to set aside a good chunk of time to get lost in this thrilling, twisty heist and so much more story!
