The Phantom's Song: A continuing Story of the Phantom of the Opera...begins where the stage version ends. Erik the Phantom is faced with living once again in the city up above. Due to the events that unfolded that dreadful night at the Opera House, he must make his way alone. Erik begins his new life away from the Opera. He struggles to make it through the loneliness of every day life. Finding it hard to keep himself from Christine, he inadvertently is drawn back into her life through sad circumstances. She has been torn in her feelings for him. Their relationship takes on many forms, as Erik tries to fit back into his pupil's life. He has promised her that he will never force her to choose between him and her childhood sweetheart ever again. In the end, it is Erik who decides to leave Christine and make his way alone. He finds a life on his own, and eventually discovers redemption through family, friends, and love.
