With the start of the children's summer holiday from school, Erin and David decide to take a family trip to the U.S. After DCS Dawson's failed attempt to find illegal substances in the Elliott's London home, they are glad for the distraction.

Following their adventure to Wisconsin, David begins filming in Dorset, where they enjoy the coastal path and sunny seaside. They host a last-minute, star-studded Bollywood birthday party, where they learn who are their friends and who are not.

The pregnancy wears on and after a very trying misidentification and misunderstanding that lands her in the hospital, Erin learns an important lesson in trust.

After a delightful Christmas, a momentous occasion, and an unforgettable New Years, the first of Erin's two due dates passes without so much as a contraction. Feeling disheartened, the family returns to London, where things progress faster than expected.

With the birth of their child, Erin has never seen David as happy and delighted. They look forward to their future, watching their baby grow, unaware of the nefarious plans in the works.
