Zack is a small unusual looking, mildly autistic fifteen your old boy who resides at the bottom of the Pecking Order at a large suburban high school in Southern California. The consequences for being so different are horrific and beyond measurement.On a fall day in 2014 while attending school he is physically and emotionally abused beyond his limits to endure and makes a plan to get revenge. Borne out of desperation he does what he has been practicing on the screen for years, he brings a semiautomatic gun to school and shoots his perpetrator and paralyzes him for life.The Pecking Order goes on to tell about the lives of the shooter and the boy he shoots before and after the shooting. But it also tells the story of the schools principle that puts his career on the line to make changes at his school that will improve the quality of life and education for the students.
