Captivating!

A stirring adventure with a courageous heroine, set in the world of The Hidden Prince. A brilliant companion to Ms. Afshar's The Hidden Prince, that can also be read as a stand alone, bringing back beloved faces while introducing new ones. This book brings ancient history to life in vivid form, I loved learning more about a time that I was previously pretty ignorant about, and it was fun understanding the intricacies of that empire. Jemmah is a strong and courageous heroine, like her mother. I was touched by her determination to fight for the ones she loved, despite her own weaknesses. Asher is a brilliant innovator, I liked his friendship with Keren and how he is protective of Jemmah. This is a riveting historical read that pulled me into its pages from the very beginning. I loved how the book showed God's hand throughout the reign of a Persian king, and in the tiniest details of our lives. A captivating, and entertaining read from beginning to end, filled with pieces of wisdom to treasure. Highly recommend! I received a complimentary copy of this book.
