A delight for all who are young at heart

Mozz has written and illustrated with amazing creativity. How many authors can do both?! The best part is that his ideas stir the imagination and encourage conversation - can definitely be used to initiate children's writing and drawing. Poems such as "The Big Abominable Wordeater and "Let the Hat Stand Sit" are absolute word feasts. I also enjoyed the creative transformations of ideas in such poems as "T-shirt Tattoo" and "Lucky Escape." This writing is right up there with Shel Silverstein. A fresh and welcome addition to my book shelf.

Lighten Up - Enjoyable Rhymes and Amusing Linedrawings

I loved Pearls of Wisdumb - the line drawings & rhymes have a unique light hearted charm for adults and kids alike. Eccentrically funny in a way that will particularly amuse 4-8th graders, just when they are learning to appreciate poetry. My kids found the contrast in spellings very funny and the verse full of wit. The drawings have a special off hand charm that beguiles kids into reading the poetry. As a librarian, I particularly like to recommend "Book Juice" to all my patrons - they try it and they like it!

The 'Pearls of Wisdumb' is a book filled with imaginative tales that are bound to send you into a fit of giggles! The poems are intelligent and engaging, and are accompanied by highly expressive drawings that make you laugh even harder!This is poetry hard to come by and I highly recommend it for children of all ages!Well done, Mozz for contributing these pearls of excellence into the world of children literature!

Great inspiration to third-grade classroom!

I am an elementary school teacher of many years and this book has been the most popular book in our classroom library since my purchase of it! I am writing this review because it is rare to find a book of poetry for which students show such enthusiasm and interest. It has been a great tool for lesson planning in my third grade class and has inspired many of my students to write their own poetry. We spent an entire week discussing The Story of Little Blue Riding Hood and The Big Good Wolf and having lots of fun comparing it to the original fairy tale. I am thankful to have found a book that inspires my students to THINK and to use their imaginations. This book has been a wonderful asset to our classroom this year!

This gem of a book is perfect for children or adults. Mozz creates wonderful poems with perfect rhymes, that are full of wit and plenty of humor -- reading this book is pure pleasure.
