In the perfection of faith, lofty thoughts often lift our gaze from the experiences of everyday life. But there is no greater devotion than to be mindful of what is prescribed for even the most seemingly trivial matters. The genuine seeker knows that divine guidance touches the most intimate details of daily life; if this guidance is not esteemed, how can faith be perfected? The Qur'an leaves no doubt as to the believer's duty of obedience, a duty that begins as soon as the day begins. A modest collection of hadith is offered herein to urge consideration of the example, orders, and admonitions of the Prophet (SAW) specifically concerning everyday occasions. The Arabic text and source accompany the translation of each hadith, and commentary is respectfully avoided in deference to the sufficiency of the sunnah itself.
