In this fantasy adventure story for young readers, a young boy must save his world from destruction and learn to conquer his own doubts and fears. Jason Del, a shoemaker's son, learns that he is the heir to the Wizard's Stone. The stone has been passed down in an unbroken line from father to son since the time when Dels were kings of Trinity. With the Wizard's Stone also comes the responsibility to defend humanity and the land of Trinity in the Final Contest, a battle between the gods. The time of the Final Contest is at hand, and it falls to Jason to fight the creatures of Pure Evil and Evil Less than Pure.
The responsibility of the Pearl of Anton comes to Jason by default, however. The Wizard's Stone has been handed down to the oldest son of the Del family for generations. The heir was supposed to be Jason's older brother, Theda, who died while the two boys were berry-picking. Strong, brave, and good, Theda was everything Jason is not, and Jason's guilt over his older brother's death haunts him as he attempts to master his new and terrifying responsibilities. Accompanied by the village teacher and a mysterious woodsman named IAM, Jason sets off on a journey to reunite the Wizard's Stone with the Pearl of Anton. Along the way, Jason must learn to control his newfound powers and conquer his fears and feelings of inadequacy.

As the story unfolds, The secrets and answers are revealed. GRIPPING!! When you close the book on the last page.....it leaves you wanting more! I can't wait for the sequel!! It is a book for all ages to enjoy!!

Watch out Harry, here comes Jason Del!

The Pearl of Anton is a very exciting and adventursome book. If you thought Harry Potter was good, give The Pearl a read and I'm sure you will find Jason Del just as compelling to read. You find you become one of the Dels on their quest for the Pearl and you help to fight off the bantogs as you journey through time. The Pearl is a definite 5 Star rating!!

Great fantasy story

This book is a great fantasy read and a must for people looking for their next fix after Lord of the Rings. Good intro for people who are unfamiliar with the fantasy genre.
