The Pawsitive Thinking Handbook: Naps, Purrs & Cat-titude!
Who better to offer a fresh outlook on life than a cat who already owns your favorite chair?
Meet Mr. Dill Pickles, a real tuxedo cat with strong opinions about naps, treats, closed doors and the questionable necessity of vacuum cleaners.
In The Pawsitive Thinking Handbook: Naps, Purrs & Cat-titude , this opinionated household supervisor shares his feline approach to confidence, courage, kindness and making the most of an ordinary day. His philosophy? Start small. Stay curious. And never underestimate the value of a well-placed sunbeam.
Written by Alex and Gavin Podgorski with their grandfather, author John Riddle, this collection combines observations of their family cat with imaginary adventures, playful advice and encouragement for human readers.
Across twelve illustrated chapters, you'll discover how to:
- Start your day with a stretch and one manageable step.
- Find your own "sunbeam" when things feel cloudy.
- Rest without feeling guilty about taking a break.
- Ask for what you want while respecting the answer.
- Gain perspective when a problem fills your view.
- Find your inner lion, even if your first roar sounds like a squeak.
Each chapter includes a Pawsitive Thought of the Day, a simple challenge, words of wisdom from imaginary feline philosophers and an original cat cartoon.
This isn't a demand to feel cheerful all the time. Mr. Dill Pickles knows that disappointing days happen. Sometimes the toy disappears under the couch. Sometimes the treat bag stays closed. What matters is giving yourself a little patience and finding a helpful next step.
For cat lovers and anyone who could use a laugh with their encouragement, this handbook offers a reminder that small efforts count.
You don't have to change the whole world before lunch. One corner of the couch is an excellent beginning.
