True Suspense

The Paris Betrayal by James R. Hannibal is a stand-alone modern-day suspense novel. Ben Calix has been abandoned by his covert agency. Now on his own without all his fancy resources he must try to stop a bio attack. This story starts off with a bang in Rome and moves to the beautiful city of Paris. It’s a non-stop, James Bond kind of story. Never knowing who you can trust made each new person in the story a potential liability. Without the resources you need, how are you to save the world? I really enjoy Mr. Hannibal’s ability to weave an intriguing tale without becoming just another action story! If you love heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat suspense then pick up a copy of The Paris Betrayal. You won’t be disappointed! I received this book from the author for my honest review.

So good that me and my brother devoured it!! Kudos to Mr. Hannibal on another excellent book!!

This book is simply awesome! James Hannibal has created another epic thrill ride of a book. I truly hope this is a new series and not a stand-alone novel, because it is just too good to stop at one! I've read both Hannibal's latest books in The Talia Inger series, "The Gryphon Heist" and "Chasing The White Lion" and wondered if this could possibly top either one. Well, it certainly did! I also loved how this book was based on the Book of Job. It wasn't very long before I could see the parallels between them and the similar feelings, betrayals and trials of the characters. All of Mr. Hannibal's books thus far have been exceptionally clean, and I am glad to know of him as another author you can trust for excellently written and language-free content. Agency spy Ben Calix (as he is now known under his new Company created identity) is working on a new mission in Rome, when he is exposed to a deadly disease that is centuries old. When he tries to reach out to his superiors, Ben is stranded and "severed" as a traitor for providing false information, or "red herring". Ben tries his best to prove his innocence, but in the world of spies, traitors and cutthroats, that is most definitely easier said than done. Kudos to James Hannibal on another amazing story! I received a free copy of this fabulous book from both James Hannibal's Street Team and Baker Publishing (Revell) in exchange for an honest review, and the thoughts and opinions above are my own. A positive review was not required.
