Disappointed!

I've seen 5-star reviews for this one, so my opinion may be in the minority, but I was so disappointed with this book! I had high expectations, but the plot relied almost entirely on so many coincidences that it got ridiculous. I found myself rolling my eyes more often than not. There were some humorous moments, the writing was a bit florid but overall good, and the writer clearly had some inner passion and heart for these characters that I sadly couldn't muster up. It could have been a great romance novel, but just didn't quite pull it off. Felt like such a let-down since I could feel the almost-great trying to come through.
