The Painswick Chronicle

By Chris A. Evans

John Parks is back - but for how long? Following The Painswick Conspiracy, Parks has settled down to a seemingly uneventful life in France with his live-in lover, Cynthia, or so he thinks. His precarious existence is shattered without warning - she is kidnapped and against his better instincts, he is lured back to Painswick, a sleepy Cotswold village that he used to call home. He returns to his cottage, Belleview, to look for answers - who has taken her, and why? When more players emerge from the shadows, Parks once again relies upon his famous logic to ascertain that not all is as it may seem. In this gripping exciting and dramatic tale of the hunter and the hunted, The Painswick Chronicle features the return of John Parks, the once "normal" man thrown into abnormal, extraordinary circumstances, surviving only on his wits and cunning. The twists, turns and plot surprises will have you riveted until the end.
